Yes. The MCP server is gated behind the same Pro subscription as our web product. Free accounts get bounced to the upgrade page on first tool call. There’s no separate MCP-only plan today.
No. None of the 21 MCP tools touch your account. Most are pure read-only analyzers — profile snapshots, post listings, reel breakdowns, comment mining, niche search. The two creation tools (generate_hooks, generate_blueprint_hooks) only produce hook ideas as text in the chat. No posting, no DM access, no draft creation, no edits to your profile, ever.
Never. You sign into ViralSpot directly — your password never leaves viralspot.ai. The MCP host (Claude, ChatGPT) only receives a scoped OAuth access token that lets it call our analyzer tools. The token is revocable any time from Account → Connections.
Open Account → Connections inside ViralSpot. Every active MCP client is listed there with a Revoke button. Revoking kills the token immediately — the next tool call from that host will return a 401 and trigger a fresh consent prompt.
Tool calls draw against the same Pro quota as our web app — they aren’t a separate bucket. If you run a heavy compare_profiles in Claude, that’s one quota tick. We surface usage on your dashboard so you can see what the connected hosts are spending.
Yes. Our /mcp endpoint speaks the standard Streamable-HTTP MCP transport and follows the OAuth 2.1 + DCR + PKCE flow per the MCP authorization spec. You can register your own client via /oauth/register and integrate the server into any MCP-aware host.
